Commercial Fire Damage

The cause of loss here is due to a fire within a fireplace.  These types of fires are some of the most common due to the aesthetic and functional use of a fireplace – however beauty tends to supersede safety.  Most fireplaces, are not maintained or cleaned regularly, leading to common issues where dangerous creosote or soot builds up in the flue.  The flue itself, is more often than not the source, and can damage over time if not protected or resealed properly.   More often the damages from a fire or smoke loss, it is the damages you don’t see.   Fires pose a major issue for this reason as scent cannot be fully mitigated unless affected elements are completely disposed of due to the carcinogens in the smoke itself.  That’s why fire losses are very costly and difficult to gauge at the onset.
